Wellness Wednesday: Yoga & Sound Journey
A SOULJOURN YOGA & SOUND UNIVERSE LONDON COLLABORATION
Wednesday 20th November: 6.00 - 8.00pm
Address - HubHub 20 Farringdon St, London EC4A 4AB
Kate and Jordan invite you to explore what it means to be a yogini both on and off the yoga mat. At the beginning of the workshop, you will be asked to journal and have a discussion about different kinds of ways to create heart-opening through practicing compassion and kindness. So often as women, we are asked to be many things to many people which leave us feeling drained and exhausted. As western women in particular, it is our duty to use our blessing of education and choice to spread the word about embracing both the ferocity and femininity of being an empowered women to ensure that our global sisters be given the same opportunities that we sometimes take for granted. With the integration of the spiritual aspects of yoga, we will use the heat and strength that we build in our practice to lead us into the fearless part of our being. Feel inspired with loads of sun salutations, challenging movements taking you around your mat and deep into your mind.
To wind down after a strong asana practice, we begin a journey into an explorative inner world with the soothing sounds of the Alchemy Crystal singing bowls.
Kate’s Sound Baths provide a safe space for you to deeply relax and let go of what is no longer serving you. Each Alchemy Crystal bowl produces a unique sound which have a powerful ability to affect you in such a way that they restore your cells and every part of your body back to balance. Aligning your unique frequency, bringing you to a place of inner peace and harmony.
Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a pen, journal, and something to add to our altar (that will be returned to you at the end of the workshop.)
100% of the proceeds will be going to the Souljourn Yoga Foundation. The Foundation is a US 501(c)3 non-profit inspired by seva, the Sanskrit word and yogic principle of selfless service. We raise awareness and funds for girls education in lesser economically developed countries (LEDCs) by teaming up with both local and international non-profits. We create opportunities to explore, practice, and educate through yoga both on and off of the mat by offering a spectrum of workshops, teacher immersions, and global retreats to continue to promote female empowerment and education in communities where equal opportunities aren't always readily available.
